We use Google Drive to ask about possible business meeting dates and which parties you wish to have business meetings with, and then we make matches based on both parties' wishes.

Preparation: To ensure a smooth and fruitful meeting for your company, please prepare your company profile (e.g., company brochure).
Online business meetings will be set in two periods (by country) and carried out on Zoom.
We will carry out a connection test in advance to ensure everything goes smoothly on the day of the business meeting.
A moderator and interpreter will be present on the day.
Each business meeting takes 30-45 minutes.
※Interpreters will not be present for business meetings held in Japanese.

We hold "face-to-face business meetings" where overseas buyers and processed fishery businesses that have participated in an online business meeting negotiate face-to-face. We also implement "production area inspection tours" where overseas buyers visit the Sanriku-Joban region to observe the processing facilities, markets, and so on.
Overseas buyers can not only check the quality and safety of products but also gain a deeper understanding of processed fishery products themselves and learn about the production process.
Meeting and speaking face-to-face cultivates a sense of security and trust regarding business dealings for both parties.
You can also interact with processed fishery businesses that are not holding business meetings.
There have been cases where tastings held at the venues led to connections!

※Invited buyers participating in face-to-face business meetings and production area inspections will be selected by the business meetings secretariat based on the state of progress of online business meetings, etc.

The face-to-face business meeting, held on Monday, 27 October at the Sendai Royal Park Hotel, has now been successfully concluded.
We were pleased to welcome 75 representatives from 40 seafood processing companies across six prefectures, and 64 representatives from 56 overseas buyers from 17 countries.
We would like to thank everyone for their participation in this event.
We intend to hold tasting business meetings for overseas buyers in two or three countries.
Products from participating businesses will be sent to local venues, and participating buyers can sample a menu arranged by local chefs.
We will carry out a questionnaire after the tastings.
We will notify each participating business of the questionnaire results and share what the tasting events looked like.

In 2025, we held tasting business meetings in three countries: Thailand, India, and UAE.
The event gave buyers the opportunity to taste the rich variety of processed fishery products from the Sanriku-Joban region.
This allowed them to sample not only products from companies they had business meetings with, but also to discover new offerings,
thereby deepening their interest. There have been cases where these encounters at the event have led to successful business meetings and contracts!
Follow-up business meetings are held to pick up on negotiations that need some final support to reach a deal with one more push.
There have been actual cases where deals were completed through this event.
